Yes, of course! Although our solutions give a fabulous lift, lots of people opt for wearing mascara after the 24 hour post completion window. Mascara will enhance your results.
HOW TO USE
Before starting your lash treatment, ask your client to fill out your consultation form and check for any contraindications. Whilst your client is sitting up, have a look at your clients lashes and decide which shield would be best suited to them.
Lay your client down, ensure they are comfortable then take your before photo.
Remove any oils and makeup from your clients eyes, then use an under eye pad to secure your clients bottom lashes.
Choose the appropriate shield for your lashes, then secure to your clients eyelid using an adhesive.
Use a bonder or a glue balm to secure your clients lashes to the shield. We recommend using “Y” comb to separate the lashes. Ensure the lashes are neatly applied to the shield.
Using a microbrush, apply step one a few millimetres from the root of the lashes. Your Step 1 cream should cover about 1/4 of the lash. If your clients lashes are particularly curly, apply step one up to 1/2 of the lash. You should always avoid the tips of the lashes with Step 1.
Processing time guide:
Fine lashes: 4-5 minutes
Full Lashes: 5-6 minutes
Thick, Course lashes: 6-8 minutes
5. Using a cotton bud, quickly remove Step 1 from the lashes. We advise using a “flicking motion” in order to avoid getting any product onto the tips of the lashes.
6. Using a cotton pud or a microbrush, apply the same amount of step 2 to the same place as you applied step 1.
Processing time guide:
Fine lashes: 5 minutes
Full and course lashes: 6-8 weeks.
7. Remove Step 2 in the same “flicking motion” as you did step 1.
8. Apply tint of your colour choice. Remove with a dry cotton bud.
9. Use Step 3 to remove the lashes from the shield. Step three will nourish the lashes, we recommend using a mascara spoolie to separate the lashes after the application of step 3.
10. Remove the shield from the clients eye, you can also use Step three to break down any remanence of adhesive on the clients eyelid.
11. Take an after photo and let the client know the aftercare they need to follow. You should be able to get 2-3 treatments out of one sachet. Once a sachet is open, use within 48 hours. Once opened, keep in an airtight container in the fridge.
AFTERCARE FOR CLIENTS
Avoid getting your lashes wet for 24 hours.
You are able to wear mascara over your lashes, we advise waiting 24 hours to apply.
We recommend having your next appointment in 6-8 weeks. We do not recommend having another lash lift week before 6 weeks. Your lashes will be at risk of over-processing.
PATCH TESTING
You will need to patch test all three of our lash lifting steps on clients who have never had this treatment before. If clients haven't had the treatment done in over 6 months, it's also a good idea to re-patch test.
When carrying out your patch test, apply a small amount of product to the forearm of your client, then cover with micropore tape.
Advise your client to keep the solutions on for 24 hours, and watch out for any reactions that may occur.
