What are strip lashes?
Strip lashes, also known as false eyelashes or fake eyelashes, are cosmetic accessories used to enhance the appearance of eyelashes. They are individual clusters of synthetic or natural hair that are attached to an adhesive strip. They are designed to be applied to the upper eyelid, along the natural lash line, to create the illusion of longer, fuller, and more voluminous lashes.
How are these lashes applied?
They are applied to the upper eyelid using a specialised adhesive. The adhesive is applied along the base of the strip, and then the strip is carefully placed along the natural lash line. It's important to apply them close to the natural lashes but not directly on them to avoid discomfort and to achieve a natural look.
What types of lashes are available?
There are many types of lashes available at Snap Beauty. Our natural options provide a subtle enhancement to your natural lashes, making them look slightly longer and fuller. Dramatic-style lashes are more voluminous and longer, giving a more intense and bold look. They are often used for special occasions or photo shoots. Russian strip lashes are wispy lashes that have a feathery and fluttery appearance, for those who want to bring drama to their makeup look, adding a touch of elegance and softness to the eyes.
Are Snap Beauty lashes reusable?
Yes, our lashes are reusable if properly cared for. We estimate that they can be reused up to 15 times! We recommend keeping your lashes clean in-between uses. Clean off adhesive residue after each use and store them in their original packaging to maintain their shape.
Are strip lashes safe?
Yes, they are entirely safe for use! Our lashes are made from synthetic materials, rather than animal hair. Synthetic materials tend to be less likely to cause an allergic reaction or irritation. We’re proud to say that our lashes are faux-mink, they’re completely cruelty free and vegan.
Are Snap Beauty lashes waterproof?
Snap Beauty lashes will withstand some light water, i.e. tears and some rain. That being said, we don’t recommend swimming or showering when wearing them.
How long do the lashes last?
Our luxury lashes are extremely high-quality and have been designed so that they are able to be re-used up to 15 times. We advise keeping them in the box after use for best storage and cleaning the lash free of adhesive after each use. We recommend using soapy water for this.
How do I choose the right strip lash style for me?
Consider the occasion and your desired look. Dramatic, natural, voluminous, etc. Natural strip lashes are suited to everyday wear, whilst wispy or Russian styles are perfect for special events. Some styles might complement your eye shape better. Experiment with different styles to find what you like best.
