How to use Snap Beauty's Brow Lamination Kit

Brow Lamination  is a very popular beauty treatment. Here at Snap Beauty we are very passionate about our brow treatments. Producing our very own brow lamination products that can also be used for lash lifts as well has been a very big step for us! In this blog I will be explaining to you how to our brow lamination kit to achieve the best results.

Firstly, every client who has not had the treatment done in 6 months or is having the treatment for the first time, will need to have had a patch test of the step one, two and three 24-48 hours before the treatment is being done.

This involves just a small amount of all steps placed on the clients forearm, with a small amount of microfibre tape placed over the top. This will ensure the solutions don't go on the clients clothes. This can be removed after 24 hours.

This ensures that any reactions the client may have (for example redness, swelling or itching) will be known before the treatment takes place.

When it comes to performing the treatment, please ensure that you have had a thorough consultation with your client. Ensure your client knows what the treatment involves, how it's carried out and what the end result will look like. This will also give you the chance to further check for any contraindications, and to take before photos.

When you are ready, start off by cleansing the brow using an oil-free cleanser, ensuring the brow is completely clean and free from any makeup before moving to the first step. Using our re-usable micro-brush, apply a generous amount of step 1 to your clients brow. You want to apply this in an upwards motion as if you were brushing the eyebrows hair up. Step 1 will develop at different rates, so please watch and brush through the brows to check how flexible the hairs are getting, to ensure you're not over processing them. The timings for step 1 depend on the thickness of the brows:

For very fine brows:2-4 minutes, for fine brows : 3-4 minutes , medium to full brows : 4-6 minutes and for course, full brows 5-7 minutes.

Ensuring you know when step 1 is done developing is very important ! You're aiming for your clients brows to be flexible, completely straight and flat to the skin. Top tip, look at your clients brows from the side and check that the root of brow hair is flat to their skin. If the root Is lifted and inflexible, step 1 is not developed enough yet.

Once you are happy that your clients brows are laminated enough you can remove step 1 with our re-usable . Once the product is removed you can go over the brow with a clean cotton pad to ensure all of the product is removed. It is important that no cling film or water comes in contact with the brows whilst step 1 is developing. If water does come into contact with the brows within the first 24 hours, step 1 will be reversed.

Next, apply a  step 2 all over the brow with our re-usable microbrush. For very fine to fine brows, leave the solution on for 5 minutes, and for full and coarse brows 6 minutes. Once your timer is done, start removing with our re-usable microbrush . Top tip - remove the brow you started with first to ensure that both brows have had the same amount of processing time.

Once you're happy with step 2 you can go in and apply a light layer of step 3 to the brows to moisturise and hydrate them. If you're doing any tinting, waxing or threading we recommend to use step 3 as the last step.

Take an after photo and explain aftercare to your client. Once the sachets are open, you should be able to get 2-3 treatments out of them. Ensure that you keep the sachets in an airtight container and in the fridge.

Aftercare is extremely important to ensure that your clients get the best results. Tell your clients to avoid getting the brows wet for the first 24 hours.

The brows will be completely flexible and fluid, we recommend using a brow gel to set them in place. We recommend your client having their next appointment at the 6-8 week mark. We don't recommend them coming back before the 6 weeks mark as you're at risk of over processing the brows.
