What's the best aftercare for brow lamination and lash lift ?
Brow Lamination and Lash lift are becoming very popular in the beauty industry, offering a polished, lifted look with minimal daily maintenance. However, to make sure these treatments last and look the best for a long period of time and to maintain the health for both your lashes and brows, proper aftercare is essential. Here's a guide to ensure you follow the proper aftercare to achieve the best results out of your treatments!
Firstly, avoid moisture. You want to make sure that for the first 24-48 post-treatment you're keeping your brows and lashes as dry as possible. This meaning no swimming, saunas, heavy workouts or hot showers. Moisture can disrupt the setting process of the lamination and lifting process.
Next avoid makeup. Avoid applying makeup on or near the treated areas during the 24 hour window post treatment. This is including pencils, powders and mascaras. Makeup can cause irritation to the area as well as disrupting the setting process.
Lastly, no touching or rubbing the are where the treatment has happened. You want to try and not touch, rub or brush your brows and lashes after the treatment. This can interrupt the solutions used within the treatment not allowing them to properly set, and can affect the results.
Short term aftercare is really important as you want to have the best results for a long period of time. That being said, long term aftercare and ensuring the health of your lashes and brows are equally as important.
After the first 48 hours you can go back to your normal cleansing routine, it's best to go for a oil-free based cleanser. Ensure you avoid rubbing try patting the area dry with a towel.
To ensure that your brows and lashes stay hydrated we recommend using a nourishing oil, either castor oil or specialised lash and brow serum, to maintain flexibility and strength. You can apply these products once in the morning and once before bed to allow them to work during the day and overnight.
When it comes to styling brows and lashes, use a clean spoolie brush to get your lashes into a good position. We highly recommend using our brow gel to lock those brows into position for the day. Our brow gel lasts 24 hours!
It's highly important to give good aftercare for your brow and lash clients! Don't forget to get them back into your salon 4 weeks later for maintenance treatments.
